Dulwich Piano Festival 2012 Winners

Congratulations to all our festival participants today. The event was a great success and we are looking forward to a bigger event next year at Alleyn’s School in Summer 2013. Please do send me an email if you have any feedback on the running of today’s event and how we can improve it. As this was the first time we have run a festival, we are happy to hear suggestions from you. We only had a limited time in the venue so next year will be a bit more relaxed as we have a full day at Alleyn’s.

Many, many thanks to all our volunteers that helped with the smooth running of the event:

Rachel Bishop, Frances Wilson, Claire Harris, Rod and Jane Peters. Also thank you to our caterer Selena Mitchell, our photographer Lorenzo Ali and Florin Soare & Julia Metzner from Dulwich College Enterprises. A special thank you to our inaugural adjudicator, Penelope Roskell who travelled across London to join us today and had positive, encouraging comments for all our pianists.

  1. You were all very kind to this “oldie” who was privileged to take part in the competition along with all the up and coming young talent. Thank you for allowing me to play for you and thank you too for awarding me a medal. It was a very well organised event and thoroughly enjoyable. All power to Lorraine’s elbow for creating this kind of competition. Many more such events are needed to persuade those showing an interest in the piano at an early age that practising and playing give performers so much satisfaction – even happiness! Best wishes to you all. Jack T
